Aquatec’s original Permeate Pump (ERP1000) is a simple, yet revolutionary, device. Powered only by the hydraulic energy of brine water usually lost to the drain (i.e.no electricity required), the Permeate Pump forces product water into the storage tank, reducing membrane back pressure and maximizing available feed pressure.
These pumps dramatically improve the efficiency of R.O.water production, reducing wastewater by up to 80%.In other words, if your current system requires 10 gallons of tap water to produce a gallon of pure water (10:1), adding a Permeate Pump should reduce this ratio below 3:1. Permeate Pumps can also bring storage tanks up to line pressure and then shut the system down when these tanks reach capacity, eliminating the need for a hydraulic shut-off valve.

How does the permeate pump work?
The ERP 1000 and ERP 500 Permeate pump uses the energy of the brine Water of your RO- system to pump the permeate into your pressure Tank. It does not require electricity for that. It is just using hydraulic energy that normally goes to drain unused.
This way, it isolates your Tank from the membrane and lets your membrane perform like in an atmospheric tank system. Look at our Computer animation below.
As in the diagram below, the permeate pump can be installed in almost any under-counter RO- system. You only need access to the permeate outlet of your RO- module.

Automatic Shut-Off Valve ASV-ERP-JG 90% for Permeate Pumps is designed to shut off at 90% of supply line pressure. This means that the valve automatically shuts off production when the tank pressure reaches approximately 90% of the incoming line pressure to indicate the tank is full. The ASO valve is ideal for saving thousands of gallons of water. You can use this Auto Shut Off Valve with residential Reverse Osmosis Systems with a permeate pump. The Standard Reverse Osmosis systems auto shut-off valves cut the water supply when tank pressure is at 65% of feed water pressure. To maximize the Permeate Pump efficiency, it is recommended that you should replace the existing shut-off valve with this 90% valve which will allow the tank to pressurize to 90% of feed water pressure. This ASOV is highly recommended in low water pressure applications. In this device, all tube connections are 1/4" quick connect with "in" and "out" labeled on the top. The Auto Shut Off Valve comes with four 1/4" quick connect fittings. Easily insert 1/4" tubing directly into the ASO Valve.
